When sweet Hayden passed away, we found ourselves surrounded by loads of love and support from people who just happened to fall in love with our sweet warrior and wanted to find a way to express that love. We were fed for months by a meal train that a friend and fellow heart mom started, and we became great friends with our UPS man who delivered multiple packages daily for weeks.
Among these packages were heartfelt gifts that truly helped us through the devastating days, especially when they included little games, toys and treats for our older son, Jackson to enjoy. To a four-year old, a new toy can provide hours of entertainment. And at times, that’s what we needed - time to grieve without worrying that Jackson was occupied and happy.
So, as a way to thank all of those who have helped us and to pass on that feeling of love to other families who have lost their heart warriors, we created our Grieving Hearts care package.

The CHD Awareness Quilt Project
Promotes greater public awareness of Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) while honoring the strength, courage and commitment of all those born with a CHD and their families. They will create a quilt square in your child’s memory to be placed on a quilt for display.
